Which locations and primary time do you attend?
During my 2 years plus at boot camp, I started at River Park with Niki, now 5:15am Lenox Village.
Why did you pick Niki G’s Fitness Classes as your workout?
I started at Niki G’s to try something other than the gym. Now I know what a challenge each class provides and I am obviously hooked.
What was your health/wellness/fitness situation before coming to Niki G’s?
I would go to the gym not really knowing what to do and would run on a regular basis. I am fortunate to have always been thin but I quickly learned there is a huge difference to being fit.
How has Niki G’s Fitness Boot Camp helped you the most?
Boot camp has made me a stronger, faster runner. The cross-training has helped me improve my overall marathon times and I never thought I would be able to run my mile in the 6’s. What a difference a strong core and upper body make!
What are your current fitness goals?
Continue to improve my running.
What is your inspiration/motivation to get to class?
Since I attend the 5:15am classes, I know once it is over, I will be done for the day!
What’s your favorite Boot Camp exercise, drill or class format?
Anything that mentally challenges me. This helps me make it through my long runs.
Describe Your Typical Weekly Workout Schedule
Pending my travel schedule, I attend boot camp 2/3 times per week and run 20-30 miles per week.
Describe a typical day of eating.
During the work week, I try my best to stick to the basics: oatmeal, bananas, apples, proteins, and brown rice. Notice I said try. I do allow myself to cheat.
What’s your favorite healthy snack?
Hummus and carrot sticks, greek yogurt
What’s your favorite treat food?
Too many to name but pizza, french fries, and any dessert top the list. Can margaritas be considered food?
How do you find the time to exercise and keep it a priority?
I cannot imagine not exercising. I do anything I can to make the time, even if it is just sit-ups and push-ups in my hotel room.
What’s the most important piece of information you have learn from Niki G and/or your trainer?
That I can have my cake and be fit too!
