Why did you pick Niki G’s Fitness Classes as your workout? I had been wanting to start working out more and saw the studio in my neighborhood. It’s so close to home and I love having something to look forward to after a long day of work!
What was your health/wellness/fitness situation before coming to Niki G’s? I was not very active at all, other than taking my dog for walks. As an accountant, I sit at a desk all day and am not able to get the exercise I need during the day. I knew I had to start taking better c
are of myself at a younger age, so when I saw a Groupon for Niki G’s, I decided to give it a shot! I have now been going to the yoga classes for 6 months now.
How has Niki G’s Fitness Boot Camp helped you the most? I feel a lot more confident in myself! I feel so much stronger, especially in my arms. Not only do I physically feel better, but I think the yoga classes have also helped me mentally. I am able to take time for myself during the week and not worry about the other things in life!
What are your current fitness goals? Eventually, I would like to be able to run really well and possibly train for a 5k.
What is your inspiration/motivation to get to class? My husband has told me I look more toned and fit since I have started doing yoga, so I never want to miss a class!
What’s your favorite Boot Camp exercise, drill or class format? I like trying the more challenging yoga poses (like half-moon, standing splits, one-armed down dog) and seeing how I have improved the past few months.

What’s your favorite healthy snack? I love having apple slices with a low-fat fruit dip.
What’s your favorite treat food? I love Twix and Milky Ways, which is hard to turn down especially during this time of the year!
How do you find the time to exercise and keep it a priority? I think of taking time to exercise as a committment I made to myself. It is one of the best things you can ever do for yourself and also your family. If you feel good physically and mentally, you will want to do more things with your family and you set a good example for them. If there is ever a time I don’t feel like going to class, I always think about how much better I will feel afterwards and I’m never wrong!
What’s the most important piece of information you have learn from Niki G and/or your trainer? Just how important eating clean and working out is. I dont think I had ever fully realized the importance of taking care of yourself till I started the classes.
What is your favorite Instructor Quote during class (the funnier the better) “A squat without a squeeze at the top is only half a squat!” But on a more serious note…I really appreciate how Whitney will say, “Everyone is here for different reasons.” Now I know that no matter what my abilities are, I can workout with a good group of girls that don’t judge me because we are all working together towards our own fitness goals!
